The CLUB
An incubator of women leaders

Hemali Mehta

Hemali's connection with The CLUB began about four years ago when she participated in one of The CLUB's mentoring circles and attended other events. She recently joined the board as Treasurer and is also organizing events—a chance to give back to an organization that has meant a lot to her.

A CPA with experience in both public and private accounting, Hemali spent much of her career in the technology industry, which included roles with global and Fortune 500 companies.

What has your experience with The CLUB meant to you?

The CLUB is an inclusive and welcoming organization. I've seen the board members and

volunteers make a genuine effort to create quality events and experiences for members while

making new members feel welcome and included. That sense of community is something I have

come to really appreciate.

Looking back at your career, what is one lesson that has stayed with you?

Looking back, there are actually two lessons from my career that stand out to me.

The first is that change is the only constant. It's a cliché, but one I've found to be true again and

again. Working in tech, I spent years in environments defined by constant flux: organizational

structures, reporting lines, and business priorities shifted continuously, and adapting quickly was

critical to delivering results.

That experience taught me that embracing change also means being willing to evolve and

reinvent yourself. Our past experiences give us a foundation, but they don't have to define our

future—staying open to new possibilities lets us grow, take on new challenges, and create

opportunities we may never have imagined.

The second is the importance of truly understanding the business you're supporting. Working in

finance, I learned that understanding the business gives you the context to better analyze the

data and provide meaningful financial insights. That enables you to be a stronger business

partner and help leaders make better-informed decisions that can ultimately improve the bottom

line.

What is something that brings out your creative side?

I love working on creative projects with kids—things like making vision boards and teaching

them about storytelling and filmmaking. I also enjoy creating videos that capture family

memories. Outside of that, I recharge through hiking, reading, painting, traveling, and spending

time with family and friends.

What are you looking forward to in this next chapter?

I'm excited to explore different opportunities and interests rather than feeling that I have to

choose just one path. I can pursue multiple things that inspire me, learn along the way, and see

where each opportunity takes me. For me, this next chapter is about staying curious, trying new

things, and creating a life that reflects the many things I enjoy.
