  • 9:00 am  Shine Programming Session 1 - Reflect & Re-orient

with Galina Livitina and Tamar Serna

It’s been a strange few years! This is a guided session to reflect personally and professionally. Let’s celebrate our resiliency, reflect on what has changed, and find all the silver linings. Let’s also be honest with ourselves, and confront loss of control, how profoundly our daily lives have changed. How do we create healthy supportive social circles? Where do we want to be on professional goals? We’ll give ourselves some grace, appreciation, and do some brainstorming for what we want out of our next normal.

  • 10:15 am  Break
  • 10:30 am Shine Programming Session 2 - Reboot

with Laraine McKinnon

Time for some goal setting! What specific goals do we have, and what are tangible steps to achieve them? How do we find the things that bring us energy and shed the things that drain us? How do we capture the power of our networks, the influence of our public profile, and our own personal superpowers to achieve our goals? Build an actionable plan to drive your 2022 and beyond.

  • 11:15 am Shine Programming Session 3 - Reclaim

with all of us

Put the plan in motion! Reclaim momentum by sharing your plan with accountability partners - people in the same phase as you. Be inspired by their goals and ideas to achieve them, and find the support you need to make your own goals come true.

  • Rules of Engagement:

    1. You must come ready to acknowledge and affirm other women for what you observe them do. This is not a hot-air-blowing exercise--we don't want people pumping each other up for no reason--our interactions will be grounded in reality, and will ask us all to combine affirmation with constructive feedback.
    2. Come ready to admit your defeats, failures and shortcomings. Humility is mandatory.
    3. Plan to stay engaged. To be successful, our short conference will require everyone's active participation and willingness to connect.
    4. COVID Protocols:

We strongly encourage all attendees to be fully vaccinated (including boosters) if medically appropriate. We’ll be following the latest guidance from the Santa Cruz County Public Health Department regarding indoor events.

We anticipate lunch on Friday to be outdoors.

Dinner on Friday evening will be indoors in a private room.

The conference room space is large and there is plenty of space to socially distance. People may wear masks and they may take the buffet meals (breakfast, lunch) to an outdoor location (pool patio) or their room to dine individually if preferred.

Room price for Friday, Feb 4th is $269 for a Double Queen room. Rate does not include tax. Mention The CLUB when booking rooms to receive this discounted rate. Attendees will be responsible for their own room payments and for coordinating any room sharing arrangements. The hotel may assess a parking fee.
