Anxiety in the world is growing, and it’s affecting youth and adults. But what IS anxiety? Since it’s a feeling, how can we use emotional intelligence to understand and work with it?

Join this interactive, powerful “EQ Café” to practice emotional intelligence together and explore answers to these crucial questions about anxiety. EQ Cafés are insightful, fun sessions for people curious about emotional intelligence to connect and learn together.

In this Café we will discover:

  • What “anxiety” is and isn’t 

  • Current data about anxiety, it’s causes and effects

  • How emotions and emotional intelligence help us work with this challenging feeling

Light lunch will be provided or feel free to bring your own.

Presented by Janet Miller Evans, President, Entevos

Janet Miller Evans is President and Owner of Entevos, a small business providing international coaching and consulting services. She is following her passion for guiding others on their professional and personal growth journeys. Janet provides coaching, leadership and employee development, and training services to businesses, educational institutions, nonprofit organizations, executives, and private clients. She has provided services to clients in the US, Canada, Europe, MENA, and Africa. Janet is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with International Coach Federation, Emotional Intelligence Certified Coach and Assessor (EQCC) with Six Seconds, and certified NeuroView and Alliance Associate Coach with Envisia Learning. Her business experience includes leadership roles with P&L, sales & marketing, and operations responsibilities for FedEx, IBM, UPS, and Comcast, and other industry leaders. Janet is an Adjunct Professor in Professional Studies for National University. She received her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Master of Public Administration from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Her community leadership experience includes serving on non-profit boards, and as an inaugural member of the Alamo Municipal Advisory Council. Janet currently volunteers on the KQED Community Advisory Panel, How Women Lead, Women of the World Program and is a member of The Club, Silicon Valley, and San Francisco Chapter of The Links, Incorporated. She enjoys hiking, reading, travel.
