As part of its quarterly events, the Club is offering its members and guests a workshop to help resolve conflicts effectively.

While you can’t avoid all work conflicts, you can change the way you handle conflict. In this brief workshop, you’ll learn practical techniques to help resolve conflicts more effectively, and build better relationships. You’ll learn how your personal style affects the way you communicate, influence, and negotiate with others.

After participating in this interactive discussion, you will learn to:

  • understand different communication styles, and the four ways people respond to conflict
  • use an effective approach for solving problems collaboratively
  • ask insightful questions to uncover the true issues
  • handle emotional objections and heated pushback

During the session, you’ll apply these concepts to plan for a real-life situation you’re facing. You’ll practice these skills with a partner, and receive feedback on how you come across.

You’ll learn that you can’t approach every person or situation the same way. Instead, by focusing on others, you’ll find that you can turn problems and obstacles into opportunities to build a better working relationship. This shift in mindset, along with practical techniques you’ll learn, will help you crush your interpersonal roadblocks and become more effective at resolving conflict.
